As each piece is unique and made with different materials, they may require different care. Each garment comes with a hangtag with care instructions specific to it.
Choose a plant-based detergent that’s fragrance-free and does not contain optical brighteners, chlorine, and phosphates so it’ll be gentle on your skin and the environment.
We recommend the following types of washing and drying for our garments in general.
Hand Wash
Fill a sink or basin with cold water and add a tablespoon of delicate soap. Place your garment into the water and swirl it around gently for a few minutes. Drain and refill the sink or basin with clean water and rinse your garment by swirling it around.
Gently press it to remove excess water and don’t wring or twist the garment so as not to distort its shape.
Reshape the garment on a dry towel and roll it up, pressing down as you roll to extract the remaining water in the garment. Lay it flat on a drying rack to dry once it’s no longer dripping.
Cold Machine Wash
Make sure you have a full load before you wash so less water is wasted. Choose a cold water wash to reduce energy costs and for delicate fabrics.
Hang or lay flat to dry.
Line Drying
Line drying your items in a shaded spot or indoors vs using dryers lower energy consumption and makes sure the colours on your clothes last longer. Turn bright or dark coloured items inside out to reduce fading.
Steaming & Ironing
Steam or iron your garment with a low heat setting, especially if it’s made in silk or delicate fabrics. Use a dry iron for and do not steam structured garments like jackets and blazers so it holds its shape.
